Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission may be retained long enough to review and answer it. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

It publishes instructions for reaching Torrance County custodians, New Mexico courts, the New Mexico Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Records Bureau, and the New Mexico Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or a file about another person, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention rules, and sharing practices govern information submitted to their tools. Review the applicable provider policy before running a query because we do not control those practices.

Links may lead to sheriff pages, court portals, New Mexico agencies, legal resources, or outside search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.

Your Data Rights
Rights depend on the law that applies to a visitor and the data involved. New Mexico's Inspection of Public Records Act, NMSA 1978 §§14-2-1 through 14-2-12, governs requests to public custodians, while NMSA 1978 §29-10-6 limits access to state arrest-record information. Those laws do not convert this private site into a government records office. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
