Why We Built This Site
New Mexico records do not sit in one file or one office. The Torrance County Sheriff's Office keeps records created by its own operations. District, Magistrate, and Municipal Court clerks maintain filed charges, docket events, judgments, and sentences. The New Mexico Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Records Bureau maintains the fingerprint-supported state repository, while the New Mexico Corrections Department and New Mexico Sex Offender Registry answer different custody, supervision, and registration questions. This site organizes the verified contacts, official portals, fees, and request paths for those separate custodians.

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any New Mexico court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

- We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that an office's phone number, fee, address, or hours have not changed
Only the originating sheriff, court, or New Mexico Department of Public Safety can issue an official criminal record. This site identifies the route, but the custodian supplies the document.
